Vision
The Department of Political Science endeavours to generate new knowledge& produce students who are trained in Political Science. The university offers B.A B.A(Hons), M.A and PhD in the subject.
Mission
The Department of Political Science strives to provide students with the in-depth information and intellectual tools they need to engage with the concerns and challenges that arise in the fields of politics, political processes, and political ideas both globally and specifically in India. It aims to give them learning opportunities and theoretical skill that equip them to comprehend comparative, context-sensitive sociology-political phenomena in all their dimensions. It has developed a variety of programmes and courses that balance specialities with interdisciplinary methods to achieve this goal. The Department works to improve students’ subject-specific knowledge as well as their capacity for critical thought using a variety of educational techniques. In the framework of the worldwide commitment to sustainable development, human rights, and diversity, the Department declares its commitment to fairness, inclusivity, and diversity without sacrificing academic rigour.

Goals of Department
Following the two-year MA in Political Science programme, a student will be able to:
- Demonstrate fundamental and conceptual understanding of the various branches of political science, with knowledge of the frontiers and cutting-edge of theory and research.
- Show that you have the capacity to analyse and assess political events, administrative setups, public policy, and global trends.
- Apply information, theories, and intellectual resources to political and administrative issues with tact and make recommendations and give solutions that will promote social justice in the actual world.
- effectively convey information, ideas, and arguments in writing and oral form to a variety of audiences in various contexts, whether local, national, or worldwide.
