The Department of Political Science endeavours to generate new knowledge& produce students who are trained in Political Science. The university offers B.A B.A(Hons), M.A and PhD in the subject.

Mission

The Department of Political Science strives to provide students with the in-depth information and intellectual tools they need to engage with the concerns and challenges that arise in the fields of politics, political processes, and political ideas both globally and specifically in India. It aims to give them learning opportunities and theoretical skill that equip them to comprehend comparative, context-sensitive sociology-political phenomena in all their dimensions. It has developed a variety of programmes and courses that balance specialities with interdisciplinary methods to achieve this goal. The Department works to improve students’ subject-specific knowledge as well as their capacity for critical thought using a variety of educational techniques.
