Vishakha Cell (Women Redressal Cell)

Women’s Grievances Redressal Cell (Vishakha) is meant to safe guard and promote well being of all women employees and students of the organization.It takes care of all complaints and Requirements of women staff and students in the campus and action taken for redressal of complaints. As per the Honorable Supreme Court’s decision, the educational institution/universities are required to form of prevention of sexual harassment cell/committee for protecting women employees and girl students against possible harassment at work place. The Court defined sexual harassment very clearly as well as provided mandatory guidelines known as “Vishakha Guidelines” for employers to redress and prevent sexual harassment at work place. The important preventive measure is to adopt a sexual harassment policy which prohibits sexual harassment at work place and provide effective grievence procedure.
The Bharti Vishwavidyalaya, Durg is committed to providing and promoting an atmosphere in which employees can realise their potentials in a safe, congenial positive and productive environment by making the work place free from sexual harassment.
