Zoology Departments

The study of animals, or zoology, exposes students to every aspect of an animal’s diversity and function in great detail. We find this topic to be of great interest because we are considered to be animals as well. Understanding the growth and evolution of animals enables us to better comprehend our own selves. Students in this stream learn more deeply about how animals are essential parts of the ecosystem. Animals also have a significant impact on our economy because they compete with us for food or because they are parasites that affect public health.
