Forensic Science Department
Bharti Vishwavidyalaya is the state’s first private University dedicated to Forensic Science with the objective of fulfilling the acute shortage against the increasing demand for forensic experts in the country and around the world.
Aim of the department is to conduct innovative experiments and develop new methods and technologies in the field of science, technology and management in relation to the domains of investigation, prevention and detection of crimes.
We provide training, skill-development, educational tour, research and extension of work in forensic science.
Forensic Science is an application of scientific methods to criminal cases. Forensic Science uses tools and techniques of natural science in criminal justice for recognition, identification, individualization and evaluation of physical evidence.
A proper approach towards crime detection and its prevention can be offered by the study of different aspects of Forensic Science.
Presently the department is running 3 years B.Sc. (Hon’s) in Forensic Science and 2 years M.Sc. in Forensic Science.
An overview of the commonly utilized scientific disciplines are ballistics, pyschology, serology, toxicology, entomology, wildlife, questioned documents, anthropology, odontology, pathology, cybersecurity etc.
